Category Manager for new E-Commerce project

Reports to:

Main responsibilities:

  • Building the category strategy and execution plan
  • Implementation and monitoring of the execution of the overall commercial strategy, category operational management in the region
  • Assortment management of the category: assortment formation, quality control of filling the assortment matrix, ensuring quick entry of goods into the assortment, market analysis, monitoring of competitors
  • Identification and Development of relationships with key brand and vendors
  • Owning customer experience metrics and data quality
  • Development of Private Brand in terms of assortment, product specifications, required product line, communication briefs and negotiations
  • Determine development priorities, adoption and implementation of key decisions on the assortment, pricing, promotion, marketing, merchandising, branding, development of Private Brand to increase the effectiveness of the category
  • Pricing management: control of price monitoring of competitors; making decisions on price changes; the formation of the basket of the Minimum Price in the Category , KVI, BB; initiatives and protection of proposals for changing the boundaries of price clusters; price management in IT systems; management of margins and price lists
  • Process development, operational planning to support forecasting and new launches
  • Cooperation with executive decision-makers, helping them to understand the brand, desired product positioning, key points of difference, and target customer
  • Partnering closely with cross functional teams including the Softlines category teams, marketing, legal, finance, to deliver on goals
  • Interfunctional interaction with related functions for the timely and uninterrupted replenishment of the inventory stocks of the management center for category profitability, inventory turnover and loss control
  • The formation of the supply chain of the region
  • Negotiating and concluding contracts with local suppliers on the amounts of the marketing budget and the conditions of the Promo
  • Search for alternative suppliers for each product category
  • Management of promotions in the category of planning, monitoring and control of the effectiveness of the conduct, including the control of balances at the end of the promo

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, or business administration;
  • At least 3 years of experience in Procurement;
  • Technical and commercial knowhow of commodity market trends and manufacturing process technologies of the category;
  • Understanding of data analysis;
  • Confident MS Office user (especially Excel)
  • Optional SAP ERP, SAP BO
  • Knowledge of the market in the region (main competitors, suppliers, regional assortment, etc.)
